1st day IOW

 

We are finally settling down and getting ready for bed after a busy and fun filled first day of our #IsleOfWight2018 trip.  Despite the late set off we managed to make an earlier ferry and were soon eating lunch on the Island, looking out at the sea.  In the afternoon, we journeyed to the beach and found some dinosaur remains in 120 million year old rocks.  Once we had extensively combed the beach for amazing rocks and fossils, we headed to the hotel to find out our rooms for the week.  After that, we walked to the nearby beach, where everyone enjoyed a delicious ice-cream.  Finally, after eating our fill at dinner time, we rid ourselves of all our energy by playing at the local park.  Everyone is tired (but very excited)!
