SEND and Inclusion
Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEN/D) at Whyteleafe School
We have an inclusive ethos at Whyteleafe School and have high aspirations for all of our learners. We are very proud to hold the Inclusion Quality Mark and to be recognised as a Flagship School. This award recognises the excellent work we do in supporting our pupils with needs that are additional to or different from their peers.

Our current Inclusion and SEN policy can be located in the document zone section of this website.
Whyteleafe’s SEN/D information report. This provides parents and carers with information about how we support our pupils with additional needs at Whyteleafe School.
In addition, Whyteleafe have worked with other GLF schools to create a ‘Parents’ Guide to SEN’ leaflet summarising how pupils with SEN/D will be supported.
Our School Offer which details the different kinds of provision that may be put in place for pupils within the school, dependent upon their additional needs.
If you have any further questions about your child’s SEN/D provision or support then please contact your child’s class teacher in the first instance and then if you require additional information, Mrs Skipper will be happy to discuss any concerns with you.
Inclusion Exhibtion November 2022
Following our successful Inclusion Exhibition, which outlined our inclusive practice at Whyteleafe, here is what parents/carers had to say:
“Really helpful. Great to see what the school can offer and a good opportunity to speak about any worries about our children and how we can help them.”
“Having material to take away is great, thank you. The opportunity to have a chance to attend a school event like this ‘after hours’ is really helpful to us Dads who aren’t always around to talk to school staff. Thank you.”
“Great to talk to staff about exactly what my child is doing during these activities such as SNIP, precision etc. Also fantastic to see that there is so much available at Whyteleafe to support our children with their learning and development.”
“Thank you for a really interesting event. I also really appreciate the school making time for and investing in inclusion in this way.”
"Very helpful, useful insights. Teachers clearly have insight and knowledge."
