Hour of Code
This week we have been celebrating the Hour of Code – a worldwide celebration of computer coding encouraging children to make a game, animation or in our case a flood and earthquake detector!
We were lucky to have Les Pounder in school to teach us all about the BBC Micro:bit (https://microbit.org) and how year 5 and 6 could make an earthquake and flood detector. Not only that, we also learned that the first computer bug was a real bug found in one of the earliest computers!
