GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

The sun was out and shining on our final full day on our #IsleOfWight2018 residential and despite the cold wind it really felt like the summer was starting.  After breakfast, we went to Carisbrooke Castle where we learnt about the history of the castle through the ages. We even watched a donkey collecting water from the castle well.

Next we travelled to Robin Hill and after our lunch we visited the various attraction round the park including the toboggan, colossus, giant slide, 4D cinema, monkey ropes, falconry display and rope trail.

After dinner - where children were awarded prizes for the state of their rooms - we again visited the park or the beach.  Once we returned there was just enough time to pack our bags ready for tomorrow before heading to bed.
