GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Art Studio Launch

We were delighted to welcome GLF CEO Jon Chaloner to launch our brand new 'Artist's Studio' alongside members of the school PTA. Jointly funded by the PTA and a member's contribution from local councilor David Lee, the new studio will provide opportunities for children who would like to gain more experience across a broad range of artistic styles and mediums. The studio will also be used to support the work we do in the Wishing Well to address our pupils social and emotional well being. 

 

The morning was a great success and everyone who attended created a piece of art work which will go on display in the studio. Over the course of the year sessions will be run using a wide range of materials and artistic disciplines.
