Year 1 trip to Gatton Park

On Monday 9th July, year 1 visited Gatton Park on one of the hottest days of the year!

It was a fantastic trip, the education leaders were excellent and the ‘Growing’ and ‘Team Challenge’ activities engaged the children. These involved pretending to be squirrels and hiding their nuts (in this case beans), identifying flowers, putting on specially designed bees (hand-crafted by volunteers) to seek out pollen on plants, making a team jigsaw, passing a hoop around a circle and the lily pad challenge. As you can imagine the children were exhausted but happy on the coach back to school.

A thoroughly successful trip and a huge thank you to all the adults that helped support the trip.
