The Big Fat Geography Quiz
Whyteleafe Wonders take on Caterham Schools Big Fat Geography Quiz.
Last Friday (15th March), 8 of our Year 5 children took part in Caterham Schools Big Fat Geography Quiz. This was a great opportunity to show some of the fantastic Geography knowledge that the children have learnt during their time at Whyteleafe School.
The children were quizzed on various topics such as their ability to identify different countries around the world, their knowledge of the UK and famous land marks around the world.
It was wonderful to see their enjoyment with taking part in this event and watch them work so well as a team. Their geographical skills were highlighted throughout the quiz but also their artistic skills were under scrutiny. Judges unanimously voted Whyteleafe winner of the Play Doh round where the contestants had to make a replica of an erupting volcano. Fantastic!
All the children who took part will be receiving their Horrible Geography books and Caterham School keyrings in the next star of the week assembly.
Thank you to all parents and children who were involved. I was so proud to watch all of you represent your school with such gusto.
