GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Forest school enjoying the snow

During forest school this morning with reception we took the opportunity to enjoy the snow. Children experimented with making tracks in the snow, making snow angels, holding the snow to feel it melt, make snowballs, small snowmen and even a snow tower. 

Then one child started rolling a ball, so the whole group joined in adding their snow and snowmelt to the mix to make a snowman. Children worked as a team to collect sticks and started to decorate him. 
 
We finished the session off with hot chocolate to warm our tummies up before returning to class.
